Welcome to my technOautObiO. Creating this bio has been challenging because not only am I somewhat green when it comes to
navigating my way around a computer, but I am also notoriously resistant to technology in general. I'm not sure if this is
due to laziness (I have to learn to do something new?), nostalgia, (Do we relly need three remotes to turn on the TV?), or
that I can't keep up with the speed in which things change (Hey! Wait for me!)
Unlike my best friend who has to have the latest in gadgetry as soon as it makes its way out of "The Sharper Image" factory,
I still have the sort of cel phone which is nearly as big as the ones folks carried around in a little suitcase. (I don't
need it to take pictures or make breakfast...I just want to talk on the damn thing!) Similarly, I just purchased a new car...it's
the first vehicle I've ever owned with electric windows! The bottom line is, you get where I am in the technoliteracy department.
However, having said all that, this experience has been enormously rewarding; after all, I am learning something new and valuable
for my forthcoming career in teaching composition. So, hang on to your seats people...here it is ...my technOautObiO...(ok,
don't get too excited.)
